Thanksgiving 2004 E-mail me, the webmaster at locomarathonman@earthlink.net and I will post what you are thankful for on this page. It can be anonymous if you like. It can be humorous or serious.
I want to thank everyone who
helped with my two free 5Ks, you showed me how much fun it is to help other
runners! I want to thank all of you that came out to our races and cheered for
us. We appreciated it more than we can express. I want to thank everyone that
was so willing to join the Tornados and make us a richer club. And I am so
thankful for those of you in the club, who have such big hearts and show it in
so many ways! Four More Years! Well, I am thankful (muy
agradecido) for being part of the Tornados, yes I have improved my marathon time
from 3:50+ to 3:16 AS A TORNADO, unfortunately I injured my heel and I have not
run in three months. Anyways I am happy to know and be part of the Tornados.
Good luck to all and have a happy thanksgiving... "I'LL BE BACK" I am thankful for all the responses I received. It was great to receive, read and post such wonderful e-mails for what we are thankful for. I must confess that as I read the emails, I was really amazed that I kept reading the words "tornados family" and "second family" in several emails. Up until this point I thought these were just words that our members kept saying without much thought to what they really meant but this time as I read them, it really hit something deep down inside me that made me understand that these are not just words but it is truly what WE Tornados really are and how we feel. I had never really used these words before when talking to co-workers, in emails or even on the website but I will start using it now because I now truly believe that "WE ARE A FAMILY". Why would I want to be on any other club after experiencing the best that Houston has to offer. I am proud to wear the Tornados Running Club Singlet. Happy Thanksgiving to my TORNADO FAMILY. -Pete Gaytan I met the Tornados exactly 6 years ago.... It was November 1998. They have been my inspiration for running and the greatest group of friends I have ever met. I know they will be there for each other, who could ask for more? I am very proud of all of you. Thank you for cheering me during the races. I will never forget that and other happy memories, but overall I greatly appreciate your support and welcoming to the club! : ) Even if I don't see you for some periods of time, you are always on my mind. Love you all. -Gladys Cheng I am thankful for being healthy and for having a
loving family, which enables me to keep doing the things I like the most. Also
for being a part of the Tornado family, which I`m proud of. St. Arnold's Beer at the Tornado X-C relay. I am thankful for the wonderful new friends I have made in the club, the fabulous weather we've had lately, and the rain that came and allowed me to enjoy my run (even after I was completely soaked). I am thankful that I finished my first half Ironman without incident, had a blast doing it and want to do it again. I am thankful that my running club accepts me as I am--they don't care that I'm not as fast as them! :) -Paige Our wonderful web-master!! I am
thankful for family up North as well as my Tornado family here! I am thankful
for health, friends, and for having special people in my life. I am thankful for
being able to live in America and having people put their lives on the line to
make freedom available for me. Oh, yeah...ditto that St. Arnold's comment!! I am thankful for my health and my families health. I am thankful for my daughter becoming a teacher. The world needs more teachers like her! I am thankful I still have both my parents (old but hanging in there). (OK, he drinks a six and I drink three). -Pete I am thankful for every beautiful female God put on this earth -Leno Rios I'm thankful for each and everyone that came into
our lives as "TORNADOS." Not to mention all the GREAT times that we have shared

And, I am grateful for being blessed with a healthy mind and body. As you all know, I work at Nutrition Depot. I have met so many who are injured and suffering from some (usually) preventable disease. I have used my healthy lifestyle to motivate, educate, and elevate whenever needed. Living Strong, -Juan Galvan I am thankful that I don't have to put up with all the rude obnoxious people in New York City. I couldn't wait to get back to the southern hospitality of Texans after the New York Marathon - Pete Gaytan Runsport and their continued
